Q: How far away is the hotel from the Historic Center?
A: Morelia's Historic Center is about a seven minute cab ride from the hotel. Cabs are very affordable in Mexico. The hotel can arrange for a cab service to pick you up at the hotel and street taxis are plentiful downtown; just hail one and ask to be taken back to Villa Monta�±a. The fare is around $35 pesos, about US$2.25 each way.

Q: When are advance bookings recommended?
A: Morelia is host to a range of national and international events and forward-booking is advised on the following occassions:

Easter Week -- Easter is busy all over Mexico and especially in Morelia.

September 16 -- Independence Day. One of Mexico's most important holidays. 2010 is the bi-centenary and advance bookings will be essential.

Day of the Dead -- November 1st and 2nd. This is an important festival across Mexico and particularly in the state of Michoacan. Book ahead to avoid dissappointment.

Christmas and New Year -- The botel hosts Christmas and New Year parties, which are always popular. The city's New Year's Eve fireworks display is awesome and guests enjoy one of the best views from the hillside vantagepoint.

Other Events: International Music Festival (September), The International Organ Festival and the City's Anniversary Celebrations (May), The Jazz Festival (March), Cinema Festival (October) are also busy times and advance bookings are recommended.
