La Casa de la Marquesa is without a doubt one of the oldest and most beautiful houses to be found in the historic city of Queretaro. This palace, built in 1756 for the Marquis de la Villa del Villar del Aguila, has been recently restored to its former glory by teams of art historians and restorers working zealously to recapture the beauty of its fresco-painted walls, so characteristic of its distinctive Moorish inspired architecture.
