Almost all guest rooms form part of the original building that have been fully restored and adapted to the hotel needs: the high ceilings and unique d�cor evoke the splendor of past eras. Know Before You Go

This boutique hacienda is located about 24 miles from the colonial city of Merida and about 60 miles from the ruins of Chichen Itza.

We can pick you up from the airport in its shuttle, but you must request this at the time of booking (use the "special request" section on the booking form). Otherwise you will either need to rent a car in Merida or take a 24 mile cab ride to the hotel.

You are likely to see a lot of wildlife here: birds, lizards, frogs, etc...

There is a travel agency located at the hotel. If you get a shuttle/taxi to the hotel in the first instance the agency will rent you a car and can also arrange for local tours.

A: At your stay at Hacienda San Jose, try the "Hol Bé" plan, an ancient Maya energizing treatment starting with a relaxing foot massage and continuing with an exfoliating treatment using totally natural ingredients derived from flowers and honey. The entire body is vigorously massaged to get removal dead skin cells. This is followed by an invigorating shower, a rub to detoxify your skin and is finished with a soft and relaxing massage with moisturizing oils. This full body treatment lasts for 125 minutes.

A: You can enjoy a true hacienda experience in a very natural and beautiful surrounding. Although you won't be centrally located in Merida or at the ruins of Chichen Itza, you are a drive away from both of those and other nearby sites.

This hacienda is a retreat to enjoy nature, relax and be away from it all.

There is a guest service manager within the hotel to help you get acquainted with the area and advise you on any activities you may like to take part in (e.g. tours, attractions, etc).
