A 35-minute drive from the international airport of Merida, the state capital, you'll find Hacienda Temozon.

Temozon, a superb residence situated in the heart of the Yucatan Peninsula, recreates the so-named "belle epoque" of Mexico's southeastern region. The 28 rooms and suites are located in the main building which dates back to the 16th-century. All of the rooms are appointed with exquisite details, and surrounded by the hacienda's beautiful landscaped gardens.

Accommodations

Rooms and suites are located in the original buildings which have been fully restored and adapted to the hotel's needs. Most rooms have the name which reflects its original use, for example, pharmacy, school, pay-house, etc. All suites feature 18-foot ceilings with inner exposed wooden beams and rafters; narrow, 10-foot-high, wooden double doors; large iron beds and cabinets made of dark, tropical hardwoods; cool tile floors; and large, bulbous pegs set into the stone walls for hanging the woven cotton hammocks (which Yucatan is famous for) to enable our guests to rest in the Mayan style.

You will need a car to get around the local area. You may either rent a car from Merida, or the hacienda, or hire a driver from the hacienda who will take you where you want to go. Car and driver fees are usually charged per hour or per day.
