Q: How far away are the Tulum ruins from this resort?
A: The beautiful Mayan ruins of Tulum are just a few minutes away from the resort and they are open daily from 8am to 5pm. By staying at Dreams Tulum, you have an opportunity to see the ruins before the day-trippers and tour buses descend upon the park and also before the midday heat.

Q: What about the nightlife and shops of Playa del Carmen?
A: If you want to leave the resort and enjoy the nightlife and shopping available in Playa del Carmen, cabs are available from the hotel, and you can flag a cab down in Playa del Carmen to get back.

Q: Is it worth renting a car?
A: You can arrange your car rental ahead of time and pick it up at the airport or rent one from the hotel. If you plan to explore the local area, for example the ancient ruins of Coba and Chichen Itza, as well as perhaps visit the shops and attractions in Cancun and make frequent visits to Playa del Carmen, renting a car will be good option. However, if you'll only be using the car on odd days, it's better to rent one from the hotel on the days you need it.

Q: How far away is Chichen Itza?
A: Chichen Itza is about an hour and a half road trip from Tulum. You can book a local tour on Mexperience (the tour operator will pick you up form the hotel) or you may make arrangements locally when you get there.
